Two Parts Sugar, One Part Murder
by Valerie Burns

“Two Parts Sugar, One Part Murder” is the latest book in the Baker Street Mystery Series. In New Bison, Michigan, Maddy(Madison Montgomery) goes from being a social media influencer to a baker and business owner. When she inherits a home, along with an English Mastiff named Baby, and Baby Cakes bakery from her late Aunt Octavia.
Besides running a successful bakery Maddy is in a relationship with veterinarian Michael Portman. She enjoys her new life until her nemesis Brandy Denton comes to town. What’s the real reason for her visit? When Maddy is seen arguing publicly with Brandy it doesn’t look good… Especially when Brandy’s dead body is found in Baby Cakes! Maddy sets out with friends and family to find the killer before it’s too late and she’s arrested for the crime.
“Two Parts Sugar, One Part Murder” was a real joy to read! The pace of the book was very good. The characters are funny and relatable. I found myself laughing out loud many times. Chapters 8, 26, and 30 were especially funny in my opinion. I laughed so hard at the end of chapter 8 I read it for a second time. I would definitely recommend this book.
Until next time, yours, Jacinda
